Yuki Tanaka is a Kyoto-based artist whose practice bridges centuries-old Japanese ceramic traditions with contemporary installation art. Working from a studio in the historic pottery district of Higashiyama, Yuki creates works that honor ancestral techniques while pushing the medium into new conceptual territory.

Her installations often incorporate hundreds of individually crafted ceramic elements, creating immersive environments that explore themes of impermanence, nature, and collective memory. Each piece carries the marks of traditional firing techniques passed down through generations.

Yuki's work represents a new generation of Japanese artists redefining the relationship between craft and contemporary art.
