Ascending Form

Ascending Form marks Sofia Andersson's return to three-dimensional work after a decade focused primarily on painting and installation. Cast in bronze using the lost-wax method, the sculpture captures a sense of upward movement—of aspiration and transcendence.

The surface retains traces of the artist's hand, with subtle textures that catch and reflect light differently throughout the day. The patina will continue to evolve over time, developing a rich depth that honors the bronze tradition while remaining distinctly contemporary.

This edition of five was cast at Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli in Florence, continuing a centuries-old tradition of Italian bronze casting.
