Contemporary Craft in Dialogue with History

Yuki Tanaka

Nov 2025 — Feb 2026
Meridian Gallery, New York
West Gallery

About the Exhibition

Ceramic Traditions presented over forty works by Yuki Tanaka alongside historical pieces from Japanese ceramic traditions. The exhibition traced the evolution of form and technique while showcasing Tanaka's innovative contemporary approach.

Tanaka's work honors traditional Japanese aesthetics—the beauty of imperfection, the importance of process—while pushing the medium into new territory. The exhibition included rare historical pieces on loan from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
